What you can expect
In the position of Category Buyer for Logistics Services, you will be involved in
developing and implementing the purchasing strategy for your category.
o You will prepare for negotiations and implement them independently.
o Negotiated contracts will be implemented and monitored by you.
o You will assume responsibility for managing projects or will participate in projects.
o In close cooperation with the internal business partners you will develop supply
concepts and act as a reliable contact person for all issues concerning the
category.
o Constantly developing the supplier base and working on concepts for risk
management is part of your duties.
What we expect
o After having obtained a degree in business and economics or a comparable
discipline you were able to gain several years of experience in logistics.
o In the process, you have acquired extensive knowledge and skills in the areas of
procurement management, purchasing processes and purchasing guidelines.
o You are a proficient user of the MS Office products, especially Excel, and you
ideally have knowledge of Access and SAP.
o In order to realize savings potential for BASF you use your highly developed
negotiation skills, are able to analyze complex issues and are willing to travel on
business.
o Your excellent communication and language skills allow you to cooperate
confidently with the purchasing team, internal business partners and suppliers on
an international level.
