Sourcing Associate Manager (m/w/d)
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
The Sourcing Associate Manager provides sourcing and operational support on all aspects of the Product Life
Cycle from development to delivery. Reporting to the Director of Sourcing, this role is the liaison between the
Overseas Agent/Manufacturer and the internal departments sales, product development, procurement and
logistics. The Associate will be responsible for delivering product that is in line with the technical specifications
and quality that meets the client’s objectives.
WHO YOU ARE
You have a university degree in textiles, preferable with a minor in business administration.
You have gained first sourcing experience in fabrics/sewn-product.
You possess knowledge of the development and production process (materials/garments) as well as
technical aspects of the product (e.g., standards, lab testing).
You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
You are a strong team player.
You can demonstrate proficiency in negotiating and have influencing skills.
You possess professional and effective written and verbal skill; experience communicating with
international partners.
You possess strong PC/Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on share tools and Excel spreadsheet
applications.
You have the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs operational functions, supporting the Asia Sourcing Team in the development of product from
initial design concept to placement to production to shipment of an item.
Has a critical eye for product and developing raw materials. Receives, organizes, and assesses
samples for meeting specifications and overall quality. Assists in product/cost engineering and
resolution of any cost challenges.
Monitors milestone calendars to ensure that deadlines are met, issues are flagged, and updates to the
team are timely.
Maintains effective communication with vendors and agents to ensure shipments are delivered on time;
troubleshoots and resolves any issues that arise.
