Castolin Eutectic Group is looking for experienced Senior Buyer who will be responsible for group-wide purchasing of assigned commodity group:
Your Role and Accountability:
- Analyze current spend and evaluate current suppliers
- Consolidate spend across supply base to create leverage, analyze purchasing trends and develop sourcing alternatives
- Identify cost saving opportunities to achieve cost reduction targets by working closely with Site Procurement Specialist and suppliers
- Negotiate contracts to achieve the best purchasing conditions that result in significant cost reduction and improved service levels
- Ensure the commercial and cost savings benefits are realized at P&L level
- Apply policies and efficient processes to ensure that all sourcing activities comply with company and regulatory directives
- Identify new high potential suppliers on global basis, manage preferred supply base (e.g. phase-in and phase-out of suppliers)
- Drive out complexity, and enable supplier development for improved supplier performance
- Drive the implementation of electronic catalogues, and continues improvement initiatives for eProcurement
- Prepare and execute global bid packages utilizing RFQs, and reverse auctions
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Drive improvement in the key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with regional and corporate goals
Stellenanforderungen
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- 3+ years of related experience as Commodity Manager for Indirect Materials and Services, managing multiple sites in industrial manufacturing
- Demonstrated command of complex sourcing, negotiating, and commodity strategies
- Strong financial acumen and excellent analytical skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Proven proficiency with negotiations, structuring agreements and contracts (e.g. SOW's and Master Purchase Agreements)
- Experience with the implementation and/or continues improvement of procure-to-pay systems and electronic catalogues (e.g. eCat, BMEcat)
- Profound experience with common ERP systems, ideally BAAN
- Advanced proficiency with Excel
