About the role
We are looking for an experienced IT Buyer with a strong background in IT hardware, software, and services procurement. As an experienced IT Buyer you evaluate cost efficiency and consult our internal stakeholders to finally engage and conclude with internal stakeholders and suppliers a successful cooperation bases on our company’s targets.
Your Responsibilities
- IT Procurement & Sourcing:
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with IT suppliers for hardware, software, cloud services, and IT support.
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key IT vendors and suppliers.
- IT Hardware & Software Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware, including endpoints (laptops, desktops, workstations), servers, storage systems, and network components.
- Familiarity with leading brands including AI related products and services.
- Understanding of popular software solutions.
- Supplier & Contract Management:
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) with IT suppliers, to strategically align them with out business goals.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage contracts to ensure compliance and cost optimization.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, finance, and business teams to understand procurement needs.
- Support IT teams in selecting the best commercial solutions for business operations.
- Ensure IT procurement aligns with project timelines and company strategy.
- Cost & Budget Control:
- Analyse IT spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in forecasting IT procurement needs and budget planning.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure IT purchases align with company policies and industry regulations.
- Manage procurement risks, including software licensing compliance and cybersecurity considerations.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems preferable. (SAP).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Hands on, proactive and empathic in a growing business environment.
